Amazing that we are here on the cusp of the last weekend of the Summer. I feel like I say it often, but time does feel like it’s flying by faster all the time. Since it’s the last Friday of the month, for this week’s Fit Five Friday, I’m linking up with Marcia to share a couple of Runfessions so I can go into the Fall with a clean slate.
I runfess (or is it blogfess) that I almost skipped this post today. Work has been so off the chain lately that once I finish the day I want very little more to do with my laptop.
I runfess that I managed to make it through most of the summer with very little “runner envy”. I’ve never made any secret of my dislike of running through the heat and humidity. I’ve been content with walking and strength training…and then we got a taste of Fall this week. These cooler morning have me longing to lace up my running shoes – hopefully I can be back at it before my favorite run season is over.
What’s your favorite season for running?

I do love t he long days of summer… but the humidity this summer bothered me more than ever… yes looking forward to fall running.
Work for me gets busier in the fall and I have marathon training… yikes!!!!!
My favorite is fall, followed by winter then spring. I’m with you on summer. I hope you’ll be back to running before long!
Hope your work eases up, too!
I also have such a hard time in the summer and very little urge to run much. I’ve been making myself get out there 2x a week but it’s not pretty. Hope fall arrives soon!
Well, you probably know my favorite season 😉 I also like fall, but I have a tough time enjoying it too much because I know what’s just around the corner after the final leaves have fallen, LOL. I hope you’re able to get out there and enjoy the cooler weather!
Yeah the one of the downsides of fall – wouldn’t it be great if we could skip over winter and go right into spring? 🙂
Okay Michelle, fingers crossed that we’re both running again SOON. It would be very sad not to be able to run in the fall! Good luck.
Thanks Jenny – fingers crossed!!
Fall is definitely my favorite season for running. I’m really looking forward to the annual Mammoth Challenge on the IAT. I hope you’ll be healed in time for those fall colors!
Thanks Wendy! Good luck with the Mammoth Challenge!
Fall is by far the best season for running IMO. I was so grateful I was not training for anything this summer because the heat and humidity were soul sucking.
I’ve never had much tolerance for running in the hummity but as I’ve gotten older it’s just the worst!
I am looking forward to fall running!
I was too burnt out on my laptop to get my runfession post together last week.
I hear you on the burn-out! I hope you get a break soon!
I love fall and winter!
And Zoom is draining! It’s so hard for me to stay energized through those meetings and then go ahead and continue through the day.
I’m glad you were able to join us today!
Zoom is so draining – I really don’t do well when I have a lot of back-to-back calls. It’s mind-numbing!
