Once November 1st hits I feel like the sprint is on toward the end of the year. As we welcome a new month it’s a great time to catch up over coffee with friends – so for this week’s Fit Five Friday, I’m joining Coco and Deborah for the Ultimate Coffee Date. Grab your favorite beverage and let’s chat.
Catching Up Over November Coffee
Over coffee, I would update you on my renovation adventure! We now have the basement for the new addition set and framing will begin in another week – progress!
Over coffee, I would also share that picking tile and fixtures for two bathrooms might prove to be more challenging than settling on all the things for the kitchen. But, I am still loving the whole design process – it’s proving to be a nice distraction from the chaos that is work-life.
Over coffee, I would tell you that we’re in the thick of the college application process and all I have to say is that there should be a better way to do this!
What would you tell me over coffee?

I certainly do not miss the college application process, or the scholarship applications either! Both of those really make for a busy time, as if that senior year doesn’t have enough going on already.
OMG I feel you on the college app process! Now some schools are coming back and wanting additional essays, etc and Thing 2 is not down for it. Sounds like the reno is moving right along. Awesome!
Ugh, sounds like you and Marcia could connect over college stress. We went through a whole different process with my son (lacrosse) and my husband dealt with most of it.
So exciting about the renovations. I think we need a blogger basement blowout when it’s done. 🙂
Yay that’s exciting that your renovation is moving along! It is a long but rewarding process. Can’t wait to see the final product.

Next time I do a home renovation I want you to come over and make all the decisions for me. That part drove me nuts!!!
Good luck with the college process. I’m so glad to be done with it, while also dreading it coming up again in three years. I know- it’s stressful.
Ha ha… love the sink meme.
Good luck with renovations. I’m still tired from our kitchen project. So I dropped the ball on the deck and windows.
Happy that my kids are done with college. Esp the $$$
I say this every year but it went by so fast!!
I do nottt miss the school application process. 😐 It’s so stressful/un-optimized!
