Just as I declared last week the “season of busyness”, this week stepped up and said “hold my beer” LOL!
But it’s all good, and I just rolled with it. My son came home for college break on Thursday night and my high schooler started his break on Friday, and by this weekend I was starting to feel like I was catching my breath.
I fit in my workouts where I could – here’s a quick look at my week in fitness.
Weekly Run Down — Week 50
Monday — Lower Body Strength, Core, & Day 1 of the #12Days of Fitmas!
Tuesday — Peloton Bike, Upper Body Strength, Fitmas Day 2 & Stretch. As part of my upper body strength, I included one of Tunde’s Arms & Light Weights classes – I forgot what an arm burner those sessions are!
Wednesday — Fitmas Day 3 & Yoga. I had a run planned but woke up with a crazy headache that I just couldn’t shake, but yoga and a little Fitmas were a nice alternative.
Thursday –– Peloton Bike, Core, Fitmas Day 4 & Stretch.
Friday — 3-mile run, Yoga & Fitmas Day 5. Mother Nature graced us with temps in the upper 50s so I was all smiles to get a December run in shorts!
Saturday — 4.5-mile run, Fitmas Day 6 & Stretch. Weather whiplash as winter weather returned with a vengeance! We didn’t get the predicted snow, but most of the day was sleet and rain – thankfully I got out early enough to miss the mess.
Sunday — 2-mile walk & Fitmas Day 7. My husband J and I got out early for our usual Sunday walk, though we shortened it a bit so we could get moving on some errands. Most of today will be spent making cookies, wrapping gifts, and watching football.
For the week ahead, I’m looking forward to a short work week, catching up with friends, and prepping to host family for Christmas dinner. The goal is to continue to soak up all of the goodness of the season!

I’m linking up with Kim and Deborah for the Weekly Run Down.
It is a busy time of year. The Fitmas workouts are just right
So glad your son is home — enjoy the holidays with your family!
I’m so glad you organized the Fitmas – it’s been fun!
Happy Christmas week! I hope you have a great holiday 🙂
Glad you had a better week! Way to fit it all in. Enjoy having your kiddos home for the holidays. Merry Christmas to you and yours and have a great week ahead
Thanks Deborah! Continue to enjoy your time in the sun!
Fitting it all in is a perfect title and you always do.
What kind of cookies did you make?
Enjoy the holidays with your family.

So far the Coffee Cashew Biscotti, Peanut Butter Blossoms, Whiskey Bites, and Sugar Cookies are done. Next up Gingerbread men…we may have gotten carried away LOL!
I love Tunde’s arms & light weights- those are burners for sure!
You are a busy lady! Probably so great to have your kids home. Enjoy your time with family!
Thanks Jessie – Having everyone home under one roof is the best!
I need to do more of Tunde’s classes! I think I’ve only done done so far (?). My busyness is in full-on high power mode this week (we leave next Monday for several weeks of “warmer climate paradise”), so I’ve got LOTS of things to tackle…including Christmas festivities. Glad you got your college son back home, and the HS son is on break. Enjoy!!!
ugh…autocorrect is NOT playing nice today. I meant I’ve only done ONE of Tunde’s classes 😉
Gotta love autocorrect 😉
I’m jealous of your planned warm-weather escape! Enjoy every minute!
I feel you on the continued busyness! I always feel that if I get my workouts in, I’m much more motivated to tackle everything. I finished wrapping today. I still need to bake and I’m going to start tomorrow. The hubs is home too, so he’s been doing a lot of things, surprisingly helpful! :p

A helpful hubs is certainly a plus 😉 All I can say is thank goodness for my workouts or I would be a crazy woman, especially these past couple of weeks! Hang in there – I hope things slow down for you soon.
Sounds like you have a fun week coming up. Enjoy! I’ll be working and trying to fit our family fun in when our schedules line up.

Enjoy your family time!
The past two weeks have definitely felt like a race. Although I’m working the next two weeks, many people are off work so I’m looking forward to not having to answer so many emails.
Having fewer emails and phone calls to deal with is a big plus! Here’s hoping that things slow down for both of us!
Yes, this week was insane! Having the kids home really ramps up the busyness, right? I’m definitely looking forward to a couple extra days off at the end of this week. I feel like the lead up to Christmas is like an ultra marathon, and on Christmas Day I just want to collapse on the couch and rest.
Good job getting your workouts in- i’m doing all mine first thing in the morning this week to make sure I don’t miss any!
Yes to the morning workouts – gotta give that gift to yourself, right?!
Wishing you a very merry Christmas, Michelle. I was very busy too prepping all the stuff I need to take to my mom & the normal stuff at home.
You did a great job getting in your fitness. Enjoy your time with family & friends this week!
Thanks so much Judy!
Yay for having your kids home and finals done! Mine arrived home Thursday night as well. The weather was so crazy last week. Glad you enjoyed the pocket of shorts weather!
Enjoy your family time Marcia! Merry Christmas!
Lovely to have your kids home and a good strong week, too. Even I’m getting a bit busier as I have two meetups with friends (carefully) this week, plus our boiler is being serviced but my husband is off work now till the new year and is dealing with that (hooray!!). Happy holidays!
So nice to have some time to catch up with friends! Happy holidays Liz!
I have been loving Fitmas. I had to take today off because of a booster hangover, but I’ll be back at it tomorrow!
Sorry about the booster hangover 🙁 It’s been fun to do this challenge all together!
