Wowza what a week it’s been! I’m so happy to see the weekend and have a chance to exhale. It’s a good time to sit back and catch up over coffee, so I’m joining Coco and Deborah for the Ultimate Coffee Date!
If we were having coffee together, I’d tell you that, everyone in my house has been having fun with our newest gadget Amazon’s Echo – aka, Alexa (affiliate link). My brother-in-law gave us one for Christmas, but we only just got it set up a couple of weeks ago. It tells really corny jokes and sings ditties, which of course cracks my boys up.
If we were having coffee together, I’d tell you that I’m so excited to have been selected as a Skirt Sports Ambassador Captain for 2017! I am a big running skirt fan and think Skirt Sports are just the best. And, of course I’d share with you a code 1SSCAPT20 so you could do a little shopping and save 20%!
If we were having coffee together, I’d tell you that Super Bowl fever is in full effect here! My beloved Patriots are going for #5 and I cannot wait for the game!
If we were having coffee together, I’d tell you that I’ve been a little obsessed with my new planner. And, as part of my effort to get more organized I’ve started reading Getting Things Done by David Allen (affiliate link). I’m just a couple of chapters in, but I find myself nodding in agreement a lot. I’ll be trying to implement some of his techniques this week so I’ll let you know how it goes.
So what would you tell me over coffee?
If we were having coffee (and I am, actually, as I read this) I would tell you that I’m running with a group this morning for the first time! I’m hoping to make this a weekly event. Stay tuned!
Go Pats!

Good for you for doing a group run – hope you have fun! I keep saying I’d like to try to meet up with a running group, but always chicken out…that fear of being the “slow one.”
We just can’t really seem to know what to do with Alexa am I missing something? So so excited that you have joined the skirt sports crew! Such a wonderful group of ladies you will love it. Thanks for stopping by for coffee

I’m so excited about Skirt Sports and am really looking forward to getting to know everyone 🙂
I love your LA coffee mug! Congrats on another year of being a Skirts Sports Ambassador Captain. Their skirts are a favorite of mine too. The Echo sounds fun. I should get my husband one for Valentines Day. (Thanks for the suggestion!).
Is that mug a riot?! A friend gave it to me years ago and it is still one of my faves.
I love my Alexa too! It was funny – I was away for work for a week and missed Alexa more than anyone else. My favorite feature is Thrive – the sleep meditation. Puts me to sleep within 3 minutes. Being a new runner and a bulky one, I was looking for good skirts this AM. Must check out Skirt Sports. Thanks!
Yay for checking out Skirt Sports! Let me know what you buy 😉
I love running skirts too and have a couple of Skirt Sports brand, I’ll have to check out their new styles.
Yes, I will be glued to the Superbowl as well! Unfortunately, we’ll be on opposite sides. I feel compelled to pull for the Falcons since they have been my son’t favorite team for years and he’s just so pumped that they are actually good this year …and to be like Superbowl good, well …that’s just downright awesomeness to him! 🙂

Aww your son must be psyched. I always enjoy the Super Bowl, but it’s extra special when you actually have a dog in that hunt!
I’m excited for the Superbowl…but more for the commercials than the actual game LOL Oh, and Lady Gaga will probably be legit 😉

I worked in advertising for a few years and always love checking out the commercials!
Congrats on Skirt Sports! I love their Gym Girl Ultimate skirt! I am the opposite of a Patriots fan, so I’ll cheer for the Falcons this year, haha 🙂
Thanks Jen! I love the Gym Girl too!
I love new planners, something about them makes me smile! Congrats on the Skirt Sports gig- they make cute stuff! Now about that football game………….enjoy!

I know what you mean – a new planner just feels like a fresh start and new possibilities.
That mug kind of sums up my January. haha! My 11 yr old got an Echo and that thing is fun! Congrats on the SS gig!

Yep – sums up my January too! 😉
Yea Pats! I am hosting a party for the game tomorrow- I love that picture of the patriot! As for running in a skirt, I know people love them, but I still haven’t tried it, if you can believe. Maybe in 2017!

Oh I encourage you to try a skirt! Enjoy your party – hopefully the boys will bring home the win!
New planners always make me excited too. I Ilove how best they start but then I mark all kinds of notes on them.
I can’t seem to get into my phone calendar..,,I like visually writing it down and the whole family can look at it. If we were having coffee, I’d tell you that I drive too much and complain about it and that I have way over committed myself to helping with some activities.
I’ve tried to use the calendar on my phone too, but it’s just never worked for me. There really is something about the act of writing things down!
As a Bills fan living in Philadelphia, there’s no way I can root for the Patriots, LOL! Hopefully it’ll be a fun game to watch though!
Congrats on being an ambassador! I still don’t have a single item from Skirts Sports…I need to check them out.
I’ve been really working on using my planner too. I have the Passion Planner and it’s been great with keeping organized and on track so far!

OK how are you a Bills fan and not the Eagles?! 🙂
I hope you check out the skirts! They also make really cute capris!
There are so many great planners out there – I haven’t heard of the Passion Planner. I’m using Inkwell Press.
It’s so exciting when your football team makes the Super Bowl! I am a Packers fan so I have some experience there as well. The didn’t deserve to be there this year but hopefully they will be back in the coming years!

Well hello fellow Planner Addict! I absolutely love my paper planners! That book sounds good, I may have to look it up.
Congrats on the Skirt Sports Ambassador ship!
I would love an Echo…the commercials look so great for it! I’ll wait till they go down in price a little though. 😉
Yay I always love finding another planner addict 🙂 Which one are you using?
