Some relief

What an incredible week it’s been here in the Boston area and now thanks to the amazing work of law enforcement it’s over. Yes, the investigations will continue, but for now people can breathe easier knowing that those behind the attacks on Monday can no longer cause more harm.

We can focus on healing, remembering those lost and continuing to help those most greatly impacted by the attack.

gratitude21I sit here on a quiet Sunday afternoon feeling very grateful – for those incredible people who worked tirelessly so the City of Boston can now breathe a little easier…
for family….
for friends… for the normalcy a routine brings….for the promise of the week ahead.

Here’s hoping we all have a peaceful week!

Happy Running!

  1. Yes, quite a week. One I hope never to repeat. In the end though, the true spirit of Bostonians and Americans prevailed!

  2. Here’s to an uneventful week!

  3. I’m so thankful for the law enforcement in Boston and that the terrorist was caught!
Here’s to a week of gratitude and recovery!

  4. Prayers for a peaceful week for all of us.

  5. Here’s to a quieter week!!

  6. I’m so glad you all can let your guard down a bit now. I have to say, I was incredibly impressed by the Boston area over the past week. What an amazing show of class. Then again, I am not surprised…I have always loved that city and its people!

  7. It is nice that the city became more united than ever. Let’s keep praying for all the people affected and be hopeful that none of this will happen again.

  8. I am running the half marathon (my first) in September, however, unlike you, I am in my 60’s and I think I must be crazy, but it is now or never! I am running about 30k per week right now, with my longest run at 11k, tomorrow I will go for a bit longer. For some reason none of my friends or family want to join me in this challenge, so I will go it alone, they will be at the finish line to cheer me on. They all say I can do it. I really am not concerned about my time to finish – just as long as I do! So good luck to all of us on this journey! Why do we want to run this distance–just because we can!
