Coffee Catch-up – March ’25

It’s the first Friday of the month so for this week’s Fit Five Friday, I’m linking up with Deborah and Coco for the Ultimate Coffee Date. Grab a mug of your fave hot beverage and let’s chat a bit.

Coffee Catch-up – March ’25

Over coffee, I would start by telling you that my recovery continues to be on track. I was discharged from in-home PT yesterday, have been cleared to drive, and look forward to starting outpatient PT in about a week.

Over coffee, I would ask if you’ve streamed anything good lately? I’m half way through Laid, a dark comedy on Peacock that’s quite funny and a nice change of pace from the typical TV comedy.

Over coffee, I would tell you that I have looking forward to tackling some new house projects over the next couple of months. While we had hoped to start working on the home gym in January, things got hella busy for my hubs at work so we put a pin in that project temporarily. But now that things have quieted down a bit, and I’m past my surgery, we’re ready to tackle it! Additionally, we’ll be gathering landscaping estimates (our yard is a disaster following the remodel) and I’m planning to do a refresh on our garden. Of course, in New England it’s anybody’s guess when Spring will arrive!

What would you tell me over coffee? Any signs of Spring where you are?

  1. Deborah Brooks says

Nice to have you back Michelle! So glad to hear that your recovery is going well. Laid was a cute show 🙂 I starting an old show called Younger that was fun.

  2. Good news about your recovery.

I’m overwhelmed with home projects. So nothing gets started. lol.

  3. How great that recovery and PT continue to go well! I am paying close attention as I’ll be following in your footsteps at some point. Oh well. Home gym? How exciting! Did you ever share pics of your reno? If so I missed those. I’d so love to get out and get the garden going alas, it’s snowing here as I type. One of these days spring will arrive…

    • Ugh I can’t believe it’s snowing there again!

Come to think of it I think I just shared one photo of the kitchen – may need to share more in an upcoming post.

Keep me posted on how things are with your hip. And, let me know if you have any questions.

  4. Sounds like things are progressing well! Yes, patience- that’s the hardest part.
I know we’re a little behind, but my husband and I just finished Season 1 of The Bear. So good!

  5. Can’t wait to see your renovation project!

And I’m so glad your recovery continues going well.

To be honest, I’m not much of a tv person, but we just watched Running Point and it was cute. Funny, light hearted, and not really mean spirited. I needed that.

  6. I’m glad your recovering is going well! I hear you on the gardening thing. I never got around to doing any landscaping last summer in my new “clean slate” backyard, so I’m excited to get some things in the ground this year.

    • Fun to have a clean slate! Any ideas on what you’ll plant? I’ve got some stuff that’s definitely past their prime, but can’t decide what to replace them with – too many options!

  7. I’m so happy to hear that your recovery is going well! Keep up the good work!

Our jonquils and other spring bulbs seem to be later this year (it’s been colder), but they’re out of the ground and I keep expecting to see them budding up anytime.

Can’t wait to see pictures of your home gym when you get it in place!

  8. Good news on PT! We watched Laid in December and enjoyed it.

I stumbled across Suits recently and started watching that from the beginning. I think I like it because it’s so ridiculous from my perspective as a lawyer. The first few episodes have a side story about a patent and it is beyond all realm of possibility. So for me, it’s more a “so bad it’s good” kind of show, but not one I’d really reccomend.

  9. I hope outpatient PT is going well!

I haven’t watched anything in a while, but there are a lotttt of things on my to-watch and to-read list (I’m mainly working through books right now, hehe).

Best of luck to you on your home projects!
