Happy Friday!
It’s the first Friday of the month which means for this week’s Fit Five Friday, I’m linking up with Coco and Deborah for the Ultimate Coffee Date. So grab your fave beverage and let’s catch up!
June Coffee Catch Up
Over coffee, I would tell you that tomorrow we’re closing the book on the high school years. These past couple of weeks have been a blur of all the Senior things and I’ve been doing my best to slow down and take in each event. I cannot believe graduation is tomorrow!
Over coffee, I would tell you that next week we’re off to UNH’s orientation – yep no rest for the weary!
Over coffee, I would tell you that I had my second cortisone shot a couple of weeks ago, and I’m still no closer to running again. Sigh.
Over coffee, I would tell you that because work has been off the chain lately, I now find myself with a lot of vacation days to use. Not a bad problem to have at all! I have today off and will be plotting how soon I can put the rest of these days to good use.
What would you tell me over coffee? Any vacation plans in the works?

Happy Graduation! And orientation! Moving right along. Haha! Gosh I wish I had a vacation to look forward to. No rest for the weary!
Thanks! I keep waiting for things to slow down and that just does not seem to be happening!
wow that is nuts! high school is over and college is around the corner!! I have some days off planned but no major vacation this year. I’ve pretty much done all my holidays and since all the major house reno will be happening in September I might need some days off to do stuff around the house. I’m just starting my new job in July too so it doesn’t make much sense to go for a couple of weeks holiday. I think I will manage though!
So exciting about your new job and the house remodel!
Wow, having high school behind you is huge! Congrats to your son.
Awesome to have built up a bunch of vacation days. We have two vacations in the works, one if August and one in October.
Nice to have some vacation planned – where are you headed?
Aw, congratulations to your son! He’s your youngest one, right? I imagine it’s a little bittersweet for you.
Sorry to hear that the cortisone shots aren’t working. That is FRUSTRATING! But… I hope you can take a nice vacation this summer. That would help!
Thanks Jenny – and yes, my youngest…still amazed that high school is over and done.
Congratulations to your new grad! LOL on having college orientation so soon.
That meme is great. I hope you make plans soon.
Thanks Coco! And I just couldn’t believe we had orientation so quickly – the kid wasn’t even a HS grad for a whole week and already had his college class schedule!
Congrats to your son! Such an exciting time 🙂 No vacation endeavors happening for me, but I’m crossing my fingers on a few possible weekend getaways. I’ve also got sone exciting biking stuff in the works 🙂
So fun – looking forward to hearing more about what you have planned.
Happy graduation! It feels like everything goes by so quickly these days!
hahaha, I’m with you on needing a vacation. I’m planning on going to Australia/New Zealand/Tonga in about 1.5 months though!
Wow your trip sounds amazing – you’re hitting some of my bucket list spots 🙂
Congrats on your son for his graduation. It just flies by! Yes, you do need a vacation and hope you can book one soon. Sorry to hear the running is still not able to happen. Don’t’ give up!
It does fly by! And, thanks for the encouragement…this not running thing has gotten old 🙁
Congrats to your son on graduating from HS.
Oh no on the the injury… I hope it begins to heal so you can run.
No vacation plans just relaxing on the boat on Sundays.
Relaxing on the boat sounds like a good plan!
Congratulations on your son’s graduation! Wow, orientation already? Aren’t those usually held in July or August? Still no running? I know that is frustrating.
I was surprised it was so early but on the good side it’s over and done with and now there’s nothing left to do but show up to move in in late August.
I am all about vacation. I just came back from 24 hours in Orlando. We have another Orlando trip planned, as well as one to Gainesville, and then one to tennessee. There are also some band trips throughout the rest of 2024, so getting ready to book those as well.
I’m sorry you’re no closer to running and that work is rough right now. You’re managing everything well, but I know it’s frustrating.
Thanks so much Jenn 🙂
