I have picked one word to serve as the theme for the year since 2015. Past choices have included Thrive, Progress, Belief, Brave, Intentional, Curate, Mindset, and Emerge. For 2023, my word is Cultivate.
Cultivate — to promote growth or development; to devote oneself to; to give special attention
This word will serve as a good reminder to intentionally invest in the things that matter most – family, friends, fun, and my physical and mental well-being – and, to say no to the things that don’t.

Cultivate is a great word and makes me think of all good things! I look forward to seeing you cultivate all kinds of things this year.
I haven’t picked a word for the year but I do have a goal to stay positive. I’m also going to do a better job of setting boundaries at work. I don’t know if there’s a word for all that!

I’m with all the other comments – what a GREAT word that is – just saying it brings up an emerge for me of nurturing soil for plants to grow. It’s such a strong and positive word and applicable to so many parts of life.
