Hello October!
I make no secret of my love of Fall weather, and I always feel like October is when Fall is at it’s best. And since we’re at the beginning of a new month, I’ve set some goals. But, first here’s a quick run down on this past week.
Monday — Strength training
Tuesday — 3 miles
Wednesday — 2.25 miles
Thursday — 3 miles & Day 1 of Core-Tober
Friday — 2-mile walk & Core day 2
Saturday — A stack of Peloton workouts
Sunday — 4-miles, yoga & Core day 4
October Goals
While I did hit the mark on my yoga and strength training September goals, I fell short of my mileage goal of 75 miles. I finished with 60 miles and would like to see that number bumped up this month. So here’s what I’ve got planned for this month.
- 80 miles
- Complete the Peloton Core-Tober Challenge (29 core workouts from the BreakThrough Crew instructors)
- Complete the Detroit Free Press virtual half marathon
- Strength training 3x’s/week
- Weekly yoga
- Break-in my new Peloton bike (9 days and counting until delivery!)
What are you looking forward to this month?
I’m linking up with Deborah and Kim for the Weekly Run Down.
October is most definitely fall prime time. Yay on single digits until your Peloton’s arrival

I swear I’m like a kid waiting for Christmas 🙂
yeah 9 days so exciting! I really like Chase and Adrian so I will be doing some of their core classes as well. Chase’s upper body classes are killer! Great goals and good luck!
Chase and Adrian are two of my favorites – and yes, Chase’s strength classes are tough!
Thanks Deborah!
Woohoo on the Peloton bike countdown! I love your stack with Chase. Some of his recent strength workouts have had some crazy moves though! Good luck with your mileage goal. I think I will build up my long runs again.
Oh my gosh yes – that strength class had a move I still can’t figure out LOL!
A half will definitely get your monthly mileage up! I wish that I could give you 15 of my miles in exchange for some of that strength work…oh wait it doesn’t work that way. Sigh, once my half is done I really need to get on that.

Wouldn’t it be great if we could trade miles for strength work?! 😉
How fun to be in the Peloton countdown! I hope it’s everything you imagined!
Thanks Marcia – me too 🙂
Kinda jealous that you’re getting a new peloton!!! Just in time for the cold weather. No big goals for October. I already hit mine! <3 I'm looking forward to some trail runs and hoping to get on the Ice Age Trail one more time before the snow flies.

I can’t tell you how happy I am that the bike will arrive before things turn snowy & icy!
Okay, I gotta ask…are you gonna give the Peloton bike a name? 😉 We have a stationary bike, but it’s kind of old school, so I’m considering getting a trainer to to park Gustavas on for the cold months. Great job on all your daily fitness, Michelle 😉

Ooo I hadn’t thought about giving my Pelo a name but now you’ve got me thinking LOL! Of course, this is coming from the girl who still hasn’t named her treadmill :0
I would definitely be counting the days to the Peloton bike, too!
Sounds like really solid goals, Michelle. Now go get them! You know we’re on the same page about fall.
Thanks Judy 🙂
That is exciting about the Peloton!!
I also love Fall but am not liking how dark it is in the morning.
I do miss the extra daylight too!
Ooh you’ll be getting your Peleton bike around when I get my app running properly. Progress is being made on sorting out the rooms in the house that need sorting and things moving at least. Good luck on those October miles. I agree, I love autumn running. I think the canals are going to be stunning this year.
Can’t wait to see what you think of the app!
Core-tober sounds intense. Core workouts are always challenging for me, but I know they are so beneficial. Good luck with the Detroit Free Press virtual half. I did one virtual half this spring and couldn’t find it in me to really race. It was more like just a training run. I will be interested to read your thoughts.
I fully admit that I’m nowhere near half-marathon-shape so this will strictly be a training run for sure!
