Keep Showing Up – that was pretty much the theme for this week as I spent most of the week continuing to play a game of hide-and-seek with my mojo. Here’s how the week went down:
Monday — Rest day.
Tuesday — Icy conditions sent me once again to the gym for a treadmill run. 3 miles done.
Wednesday — I woke up feeling pretty beat up so I shuffled things around a bit and spent some much needed time on my yoga mat.
Thursday — Strength workout. I never really got my head in the game on this workout, but I dug in and got it done.
Friday — 46 degrees! While I don’t usually run on Fridays, I had a run to make up since I’d shuffled my schedule around. And did I mention 46 degrees?! I managed to squeeze in a late day 3-mile run.
Saturday — 4-miles of negative splits! I have no idea where this run came from. My legs just felt good so with each mile I decided to push the pace a bit and see what would happen. You never know if you don’t show up, right?
Sunday — Another strength workout from the 21 Days Beautiful Arms & Abs Transformation.
Mother Nature is expected to throw us another curveball this upcoming week with rain, crazy winds, then more bitter cold…and possibly more snow. Ah well, more indoor workouts – just 24 days until Spring…but who’s counting 😉
And that’s a wrap!
I’m joining Holly and Wendy for the Weekly Wrap.
Tell me something about your week! Are you dealing with crazy weather too?
Awesome job on your workouts this week, especially your negative splits run! I’m hoping that the weather this week won’t be too bad (fingers crossed).
I bet that your running mojo will come back more regularly once Spring hits!

I really need spring to start making an appearance!
This is running for me ever since I hit my late 40’s. You just never know what your body will give you on any given day so you keep going. Way to persevere! FWIW meterological spring starts on March 1. I’ll take it!

Woohoo on the great run — sounds like your legs had spring fever. 😉 We are having wicked winds today. One of those days when it really could be dangerous to run.
Definitely a little spring fever – now if the spring-like weather would just make a permanent appearance 😉
negative split runs are something I am not so good at! Nice job have a great week

I am with you! Just keep showing up! That is what I have been telling myself lately to motivate me. You looked like you had a pretty awesome week. Thanks for the reminder to keep pressing on.
Yep, that’s exactly what I’ve been doing the past couple of weeks. I figure if I stick with it, something good will happen, right?
We are in the middle of that crazy wind–it is less today, but still pretty windy. I’m going to try to run outside because it’s sunny. We’ll see how that works out…

You did great!
For the first time in forever, I felt AWFUL after saturday’s long run. My legs were absolutely leaden and I was so achy and unmotivated. Yuck.
Our temps dipped again (after almost 90* this weekend, we fell back into the low 50s today. What???), so that was a bit unexpected and unnecessary.
I do want to get in some more strength workouts, but I just need to find the time.

Yep, I feel you on the crazy weather and I especially feel that crazy wind. I’d thought of doing a run outside (later after work), but I just walked the dog around the block and HOLY BURRRRR! Looks like Milly’s gonna get some more action instead ;-0

Not going to lie but this wacky all over the place weather has got me bogged down with my running. Happy to see you got out there on a beautiful 46 degree day!

We are starting to finally warm up around here. Hopefully, that lasts. I’m dealing with colds and fevers at our house though and hopefully, that doesn’t last.

Love a good negative split run!!! The weather is typical winter here – storm one day, ice another day, nice for a few days, then repeat!
ah I’m so sorry you are still struggling a bit. but great that later on in the week it started to pick up again! if you keep showing up your mojo will follow!!
I’m sorry to say that we are having really nice weather, though chilly. I feel so bad for you guys who are suffering with mother nature’s indecisiveness!

Great work: keep on keeping on! We’re dealing with it being HOT here – my friend was in a thsirt and shorts yesterday. Most odd! It’s all because I bought nanospikes – no ice since!

I’m looking forward to a good run they’re hard to come by. But you are right. Just keep showing up.
We have had crazy winds today. Snow predicted for the this week. So sick of this weather. But it does make bring injured easier.
The good runs do seem hard to come by lately – why is that?!
“You never know if you don’t show up!” – perfectly put Michelle. I had two runs this week that I just didn’t want to do but they felt great so I’m really glad I did them!

Great job for “showing up” I have been struggling with my mojo too… I’m ready for Spring weather so I can get off the darn treadmill!!
Great job this week! I have to agree, when we get those periodic nice weather days in Winter, it’s worth shuffling things around to take advantage of it 🙂
