It’s a new month and with race training temporarily on hold, it’s time for some new goals!
Move every day! — 30 days of movementย – be it a run, a walk, time in the gym or on the yoga mat. I will move every day!
#RunNovemberChallenge – When I saw Jessy’s post, I knew I wanted to do this. It fits perfectly with my daily movement goal, and I like that I can mix running and walking.
Strength Train 3x’s/week — Strength work must be a priority. Period.
150 minutes of planking —ย Last time I did 5 minutes a day was back in April. And, while I’m a big fan of planks, I’ve been inconsistent in my planking lately so I thought it would be fun to challenge myself with a time goal.
I’m already eyeing some early 2018 races, so I’m hoping these goals will help to set me on the right track.
Do you set monthly goals? What do you have planned for November?
We have a similar goal with the daily movement! I’m aiming to get in my 10,000 steps daily. It will be a little harder on days that I don’t run, but I’m determined to be active every day.

10,000 steps is a great goal – we’ve got this!
Moving everyday is always my goal and I feel better when I do it. I seem to start strong w the planking and then lose it. These sound like doable goals hope you have a great week. See you for coffee this weekend I hope

Thanks Deb – I wouldn’t miss coffee ๐
I love that move every day goal! I guess I informally try to do that–but it’s nice to put it out there!

I’ve been sitting way too much at my computer lately thanks to work so I’m making it a priority to keep moving!
Those are some great goals! They seem to complement each other pretty well too.

Yes! The more plankers the better ๐
Alrighty then! I just finished 150+ minutes of planking for October, and have some other ideas in the mix for November. Stay tuned…I’ll preview them on Friday! Glad you have a great attitude for this “rehab” journey you’re on at the moment ๐

I’m looking forward to seeing what you’ve got planned for the month ๐
Those look like great goals. I’m beginning this month with a week of going sweets-free…had too much on Halloween! I feel better already. ๐
Good for you! I may..or may not have indulged a bit myself last night ๐
I love your goal of moving every day for 30 minutes. That is so easily attainable, and what a feeling of accomplishment to do something every day!

I’ve become way too chained to my desk lately so I’m hoping this will help me to break this bad habit!
These are great goals. I’ve slacked on my planking — time to start back right now!

I saw your IG post! Always happy to have a planking partner ๐
Great goals. That moving challenge is a good one. I too need to be more consistent with planks/pushups/strength. Especially now that marathon season is behind me.

Thanks Marcia ๐
I haven’t really sent monthly goals in a while. I am just trying to get through this year race by race, week by week and day by day. So far it’s going well and in 2018 I can change my strategy.
Great work!
Sounds like you’ve got a good strategy that works for you!
