It’s the first Saturday of the month, so of course, that means it’s time for catching up over coffee! Thanks to Coco and Deborah for hosting the Ultimate Coffee Date link-up. Grab a mug and join me!
If we were having coffee together, I’d tell you that I cannot believe how fast our new pup is growing! He weighed in at just over 26 pounds at last week’s vet appointment, gaining 8 pounds in 2 weeks! Everyone who sees him comments on the size of his paws – he’s gonna be a big boy I think.
If we were having coffee together, I’d tell you that I think I’ve finally got all the camps and various activities figured out for my boys for the summer. I even have the pup’s trainer lined up to start in July. Now if I can just figure out a vacation spot for August that will take dogs. Any suggestions?
If we were having coffee together, I’d tell you that my latest snack addiction is Turmeric Pepitas. These things are seriously addictive! I found them in Run Fast, Eat Slow (affiliate link) and it’s become an instant favorite.
If we were having coffee together, I’d tell you that I’m heading to a Chi Running clinic this morning. I did a one-on-one session with a Chi Running coach 6 years ago when I wanted to make the transition from heel strike to forefoot strike. My chiro and I are convinced there’s something that’s gone awry with my gait, so when the opportunity to join this clinic came up I jumped on it.
Now I should get moving – got a busy day ahead!
What would you tell me over coffee?
Good luck with your clinic this morning! It has to be a good feeling to already have the majority of the summer planned out, I remember those days well! Your pup is so handsome- I hope you post a pic on the next coffee date! Have a nice weekend!

It’s definitely a big relief to have so many of the big summer plans in place 🙂
I’m anxious to hear about your Chi Running clinic! I wonder if that is something that would be good for me? My whole running game has changed now.
Your pup…no words for the cuteness! those ears are bigger than he is!

So much information at the clinic! I’m still trying to process it all.
Aw your pup is so cute! And, yep, he’s going to get bigger! The clinic sounds interesting. I think I’d need a lot of practice and coaching to internalize the approach. My friend rents houses (through Air bnb ) so she can take her dogs on vacation.

I hadn’t thought about Air BnB – good suggestion! Thanks!
Ooh tumeric pepitas sounds like a great snack. I throw them onto my salads a lot but I should mix up the flavors and make a snack mix. Love that mug!

The mug was a gift from a friend – I’ve had it forever and just love the message!
OMG, your puppy! He does have some mega paws LOL He’s too cute for words. The Chi thing sounds interesting…..I have often wondered about my gait (it looks SO awkward the few times I’ve seen it in videos). Not sure I want to invest a lot of time in changing what already works for me, but if there’s a better way of doing things (?). I should look into it…

I don’t blame you – if it ain’t broke don’t fix it! I’ve been in this injury cycle for too long now and am ready to try something new.
Oh gosh, I remember those days of getting camps and summer activities lined up for my boys …it really is no easy feat! If yours are like mine, the wanted to go the same weeks as their friends which meant I had to also try and coordinate with those parents. Whew! Busy buy fun times!
What a cute pup! What kind is he? And yes, he will grow into those big paws! 🙂

Oh yes, the whole friend coordination just adds to the planning madness LOL!
The pup is a German Shepherd.
I hope your Chi Running clinic went well. I bought the book several years ago and loaned it to one of my friends before I even read it. It never got returned and now I can’t remember who I loaned it to… 🙁
You pup is so cute!

The clinic was great – so much information to absorb…my head’s spinning 🙂
I should look into Chi running — I have been having heel issues and I know it’s because I run on my heels.
If you’re interested in making a change it would be worth taking a look for sure!
Looking forward to hearing about the clinic! Look at your puppy! Ridley never grew as much as they thought she would–but that’s ok, because I can still manhandle her 😀
My family’s already placing bets on how big he’s going to be – our last German Shepherd was 100 lbs!
Awww, such a cute pup! Does look like he may be a big guy. 🙂
Hearing great things about Run Fast, Eat Slow, I think I need to check it out and find out for myself because those look yummy!

He is just beautiful! I know there’s lots to think about but try not to overthink the Chi Running. I hope it works for you. I love it!

I didn’t know you’re a Chi Running fan. Yes – not overthinking will definitely be the challenge!
Awww, what a cutie! :] Those really are some ginormous paws, haha. I think he’s gonna be pretty big too!
Hope your visit to the running clinic went well! :]
Ha! Yep he’s got some growing to do to match those paws 🙂
