So for this week’s Tuesdays on the Run, Erika, Marcia & Patty are asking everyone to share one word that describes your running lately. I’ll be very interested to see what words are chosen….
My word? Uneasy.
According to Dictionary.com,
-
not easy in body or mind; uncomfortable; restless; disturbed; perturbed.
- not easy in manner; constrained; awkward.
- not conducive to ease; causing bodily discomfort.
Yep…”not easy in body or mind…uncomfortable…not conducive to ease…” that pretty much sums up my running right now.
Most of my runs lately have been a struggle … I’m feeling restless that I’m not making as much progress as I’d like. But Saturday’s run…in wind-swept rain, no less, gave me a much needed boost. Let’s hope this is the beginning of a trend.
What one word would you use to describe your running? #TOTR #runchat Share on XWhat one word would you pick?
Be sure to head over to the link-up and see what others had to say.
Oooh that’s a great word but not a great word. Sorry it’s been a struggle but yay for a confidence booster. They come at the weirdest times. Thanks for linking up!

They do come at the weirdest times…but thank goodness they come 🙂
Sounds like a good run was had on Saturday! Fingers crossed for you that it continues 🙂 I haven’t been feeling the running recently either but I’m going to try to get back to running for fun now that I’m not training for any long runs.

Thanks Chaitali! Sometimes running without training helps.
It has been a very interesting collection of words! I hope things get better! If nothing else, the warm weather is (hopefully) coming soon!
Thanks Ana! It really has been interesting to see the words everyone has selected.
While I’m not glad that your running has been uneasy, I think it’s great you had a good one over the weekend. Hope it continues!!

Thanks Jenn – me too 🙂
I may have “good runs” once in a while but I never think it’s “easy”…lol. Glad you’re having some good runs! -M
You have a point – it’s never easy … but I’d settle for less hard. LOL!
It has been fun seeing what words people use to describe their running. Hang in there I hope it does get somewhat easier for ya Michelle!

Thanks Tricia 🙂
uuugh so sorry you are still struggling with your running….I totally know the feeling.
My word…Short. I am glad to be transitioning to less running with small low key races ( 1 mile, 5k, 10ks) on the schedule for a while. My next big race is Zooma Annapolis 10k in June.
Here’s to hoping your Saturday run is a new beginning to your mojo runs.
Your short races sound like a nice option! I think I need to find a couple of 5Ks.
Glad you had a good run on Saturday!
My word: nonexistent
I have not tried to run in weeks because my knee is still quirky just with walking. Hoping I can bring it back at some point.

Oh Amy I’m sorry your knee continues to give you a hard time 🙁 Hope it heals soon!
It’s funny how sometimes the most unexpected runs boost our confidence. Here’s to many many more confidence building runs in your future.
