Can you believe it’s already October?! There’s a great chill in the air this morning – perfect for grabbing a big mug of coffee and settling in for this month’s Ultimate Coffee Date, hosted by Coco, Lynda and Deborah.
If we were having coffee together, I’d tell you that I really appreciated all of the comments, tweets and messages I received after I shared the news about my surgery.
If we were having coffee together, I’d tell you that it was great to see my post on Cold Weather Running shared by Women’s Running Magazine this week on their website.
If we were having coffee together, I’d tell you that I’ve been loving attending my son’s cross country meets. He seems to really be embracing the run. How great would it be if he became a life-long runner!
If we were having coffee together, I’d tell you that the first mutterings about Christmas have already been mentioned in my house. I’ve stuck my fingers in my ears and refuse to listen – not ready to rush fall out the door. (12 weeks from yesterday in case you’re wondering) 😉
Now I should getting moving so I can get my son off to hockey practice and then tackle a long list of errands.
So what would you tell me over coffee?
How awesome to have your article featured on Womens running-fun! I generally don’t think about holiday shopping until after Thanksgiving. Thanks for joining us for coffee today!

I like to start my shopping a little early, but I just refuse to even think about Christmas now!
That is super cool to have one of your posts featured by a magazine! No chill in the air here yet but the high is only supposed to be in the mid 80’s instead of 90’s! 🙂 send that air my way- I am still melting! Enjoy the errands there is always so many on Saturday!

How cool will it actually get there? I have to say I’m really happy to finally have the humidity behind us here.
So sorry you have to have surgery! That stinks!
I’m still protesting Halloween and Fall… we’ve got a long way to go until Christmas!

Thanks Julie – not fun, but the right fix in the end.
I’m giggling at the thought of your fingers in your ears blocking out Christmas. Funny. Nice try though… it still comes 🙂
I’m off to catch up on some of your posts that I missed.

I figure if I just don’t listen to my boys talk about it that I can put it off for at least another month 😉
We talked about Christmas today too. Its too soon I agree !

Ha Karen glad to hear I’m not the only one!
That’s great your son is running XC. My older son does. He’s a freshman running on varsity. He’s more of a short distance guy (400m in track) – a little big compared to the small and lean distance runners. But he broke 19 minutes for the first time at a meet today. Hope your son loves it and keeps running!

I know, right? I’m barely ready to think about Halloween.
Only 12 weeks??? Sigh, how can this be? I know I have always heard the older you get the faster time goes by but come on I’m not THAT old yet!….Or am I?

I’ve heard that too Tricia and have thought the same thing! LOL!
Oh wow, I will have to check about your update about having surgery. I wish you well! I can’t believe people are thinking about Christmas already – I cannot deal! That’s great that your run is getting into running – I wish I started at an earlier age for sure!

I’ve always said my one regret about running is that I wish I had picked it up sooner.
