Joining up with Erika, April, and Patty again for today’s Tuesdays on the Run topic “I won’t run without…” While I have been know to occasionally run “naked” – leaving the Garmin in the drawer, there are some items I just must have when I step out the door.
Beyond my running shoes and a good sports bra 😉 I won’t run without my…
iPhone – it’s both for safety, since I do the majority of my runs alone, and for music – I do love my tunes!
Earbuds – Can’t have tunes without a pair of earbuds. I’ve mentioned my Koss FitClips (affiliate link) on a couple of occasions – they continue to be my faves (you can check out my review of them here).
SPI Belt – I love my SPI belt (affiliate link)! It holds my phone, gels and a car key if necessary, without feeling bulky.
Hat or Visor – I’m not a fan of the sun in my face, so I usually run in a hat – when I don’t sunglasses are a must!
Are you a creature of habit? What are your running must haves?
There are so many ear buds out there. I finally got a pair that stay put in my ears and have great sound. Makes such a big difference.

My must have when running outside is my garmin, but I agree I can’t run without music either.

I have to have water!! Since I started running with the group I never use music anymore. Fun post!
I HAVE to have music. My ears are unusually small (learned this in the Army when I had to have special hearing protection) I can only use over the ear type head phones. I like my Garmin, good shoes, good socks. Before I leave for a run now I put a COKE in the freezer as my “prize”
My running must-haves are 1) phone, for safety and music 2) headphones 3) sunscreen 4) my running belt 5) while training for a Marathon in need 1-2 GU gels 5) my sunglasses.
I’m such a creature of habit, but always enjoy some change once I switch things up a bit:) Nice post!

Running must haves:
– music
-insoles
-Garmin
-Road ID
-shoes
Oh yes to the Road ID! How could I have forgotten that one!
For my o’dark-thirty runs I’ve added a reflective vest or light-up belt to my list of must haves. I’m getting more cautious with age.

Given some of the things I’ve seen drivers do lately I think you’re smart to be cautious!
I love a good visor. I always wear a BondiBand underneath though, as it helps keep the sweat out of my eyes and face. I also must have my GymBoss interval timer and my Fitletic belt.
I’d probably have to say running with my phone and my Nike+ watch is a must! I bought a visor over the summer but haven’t really worn it at all…

I’m a hat girl too and I always take my phone. I feel naked without it!
