Happy Friday all!
When I saw the topic Courtney, Mar & Cynthia proposed for this week’s #FridayFive link-up I chuckled cause I’m sure we can all come up with a few fitness trends where we have the reaction – thanks but no thanks!
Now first I must say that I’m all for anything that gets and keeps people moving. And, just because it is not my cup of Gatorade um tea, does not mean it might not be THE thing for someone else. I’m most definitely a “to each her own” kinda of gal…
So with that said, here are a couple of fitness trends whose bandwagons you won’t find me on any time soon.
Mud runs/Obstacle runs/Color runs – I have friends who are very into doing these runs and try as they might they cannot convince me to join them. I just want to run – plain and simple.
Zumba – Nope.
CrossFit – While this one has peaked me interest in the past, I’m kinda over it.
Spinning – Again, another one where I have friends who swear by it, but being confined in a room with a bunch of others on stationary bikes and music pumping just holds no appeal.
Hot yoga – I greatly enjoy the benefits of yoga, but the thought of doing yoga in a hot, humid room?!?
Is there a fitness trend you’d pass on?
I am also not a full of mud runs. I domy want to get dirty while running.

I would pass on pole dancing. For the rest, I would probably try…. except the hot yoga. I know they are trying to reproduce the climate in Southern India but it doesn’t appeal much to me either.

I am with you on the zumba-no way. Spinning I love and it is great in the winter time. You need to find the right place.

I just don’t get the whole hot yoga thing. I love yoga, and I do it to relax. Sweating isn’t relaxing to me. End of story.

Did you hear about the people who got rotovirus from a mud run (I believe it was in France)?! Uh, no thanks!
Zumba would be a no – I am not a great dancer/areobics type of person.
I love hearing everyone’s answers on this! 🙂
Have a great weekend!
Oh my goodness I heard about rotovirus – no thanks is right! LOL!
Seems like most of us are against crossfit! I’m with you on most, although I do love spinning!

I am a fan of spinning. It’s low impact and good way to get your legs moving on off running days – but that’s just me! And I like hot yoga too. But mainly in the cooler months. Mud runs? ew, after the recent stories just thinking about it makes me gag.

I haven’t been to Zumba class in awhile. For me it all depends on the instructor / music selection – some tend to be more jazzercisey which I am not a fan of. I agree with you on no mud runs!

You picked some good ones, Michelle! I will never do Zumba, and I’m really not into those Color Runs…they just seem silly to me. But hot yoga is great! A little slippery though haha!
