Maybe it’s something that comes with age, but I continue to feel like I blink and the month’s gone!
Good things for May:
- Boston’s Run to Remember!
- Featured in Another Mother Runner’s “Follow this Mother!” series
- Selected to be a part of Under Armour’s “What’s Beautiful” campaign through FitFluential.
- Solid month of speed work at the track.
The not-so-good:
- Stomach issues plagued my for a the second straight race
What’s up for June:
- Another race through the streets of Boston! This time it’s the B.A.A 10K (the second race of their Distance Medley)
- Returning to both Pilates and TRX – I haven’t done either in a while and I want to mix up my strength-training to keep it interesting!
- Continued focus on my nutrition – I have to get to the bottom of my stomach troubles
What do you have on tap for June? Are you racing or do you take a break in the summer?

Same here Amy!
I’d say you had a really nice May! (and can you believe it’s June?). I hope you can figure out the stomach issues…have you tried fewer gels or spacing them out more? Just one little idea…
Thanks I will look at that. Also think there’s something going on pre-run (???)
I can’t believe it’s June already…but excited for the end of the school year!! Keep a journal of your foods and how you feel when you run. I did this and ended up eliminating things pre-run…however it has changed for me over time! Good luck with it!! This June I’m hoping to get acclimated to the heat…race #1 in the heat was not too pretty!
Great suggestion – I just started a food journal this week. Hopefully it will help shed some light on the problem!
May was crazy busy! I have one half in June right now. I plan on it being the last one until it cools at least. Just short racing for me when it’s hot.
I hear you on the short races – I don’t think I’m going beyond a 10K until the fall!
I loved the boston run to remember. apparently i have a race in quincy this weekend hope my knees agree with me
Good luck this weekend – hope your knees are kind to you 🙂
