So week 1 of Philly training is complete – it was a little all over the place as I making tweaks. After checking out the boys’ school schedule, adding more hill and speed work, and taking into account a couple of 10ks I hope to run, I think I’ve got a plan that will work.
On the decks for this week:
Monday: Yoga
Tuesday: Hill repeats (6)
Wednesday: Easy run (3) plus Strength work
Thursday: Tempo run (5)
Friday: Rest
Saturday: Pilates Reformer
Sunday: Long run (8 or 9)

That looks like a great week of workouts….I need to incorporate more hill repeats (there are some killers on my marathon route), but I don’t know of any long enough for repeats near to me…I hear Charlestown has a good hill around the monument!
Also – thanks for the giveaway! I am beyond excited, I have wanted to try Gotein for a while now!! I will shoot you an email asap!!
Looks like you’re off to a great start! Congrats to the winners!
Looks great! Are you writing your own plan or following someone elses? Thanks for the kind words about my little ones 😀
Congrats to the winner! Ahh, hill repeats, a tempo and long run. Love it! Keep up the good work 🙂
Looks like a great week to me =) I love Yoga. Hill repeats can tend to give me nightmares, just depends on the steepness of the hill.

@ Lisa – I started with a plan from Smart Coach and added elements of Hal Higdon’s Half Advanced.
Anyone tackling hill repeats is a hero in my book. Good luck!! Have a good week.
Great start! I haven’t even started training for the Philly half yet. Oops. ;o)
yeahh for philly! can’t wait to meet up.
I did hills and tempo this week too, here we go!
